Three clearly separated levels
Exactly what the source says, who published it and when we reviewed it.
Our reading of meaning and implications. We identify it as an assessment and explain its basis.
What remains unconfirmed and what information would allow further verification.
A verification label refers to a precise subject.
“Statement verified” means that we located the statement, not that its content is true. “Unsubstantiated” means the reviewed material does not provide adequate evidence, not that the claim has been disproved. Disproof requires specific contrary evidence.
Criticism of public activity
We examine public claims, offers and conduct. We do not invent testimony, quotations, diagnoses or conclusions about private motives. We do not encourage contacting or harassing the person discussed. We do not collect private members’ names and information for publication.
Differences between traditions
We do not present one Masonic body’s rules as universal. State registration, Masonic recognition and ethical conduct are separate questions. This website issues no official judgements or recognitions.
Responses, additions and corrections
The author of an analysed claim, organisations and readers may submit a response or evidence. We check relevant information and explain any revised conclusion with a revision date. Submission does not guarantee publication.
